The Film in California Conference is the only conference held exclusively to promote filming in California.
What began as a California-only locations trade show and wine-tasting reception for location professionals and other production personnel has evolved into a day-long conference for a much wider audience – industry professionals seeking to make the most of California’s vast production resources and those wanting to learn the latest on topics that affect filming in the Golden State. Past panel topics have highlighted changing technologies (including VR and AR), drones, diversity, branded content, community relations, digital media, film financing and California’s Film & TV Tax Credit Program.
Information on this year’s keynote speaker, the recipient of the California Golden Slate Award, other speakers, moderators and panelists will be announced as soon as possible. Past conference speakers and moderators have included Garry Marshall, Danny DeVito, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mayor Eric Garcetti, Ryan Murphy, Joe Mantegna, Jason George and studio executives from Sony, Paramount, Warner Brothers and Disney-ABC.
